Hi there! Welcome to The Millennial Abroad.
For most of the past four years, Strasbourg has been home.
This lovely city is the capital of the Alsace region and known for its gorgeous cathedral, romantic canals, and incredible food and white wine. But it's also so much more, and I'm excited to bring you the only current travel blog in English about living in Strasbourg, France.

The Fearless Feature Series

One of the things I love most about traveling is the community of people you meet - so I created a series to showcase some of the women in this incredible international community!

52 Weeks of Fearless is a year-long series where each week I feature a woman for whom travel has played an enormous role in their lives. The best part? They all are happy to connect with and meet new people, so feel free to reach out to anyone who hits a note that resonates with you!

Back to where it all began: Arequipa, Peru

Exploring the words-can't-describe-how-gorgeous Colca Canyon outside of Arequipa, Peru with fellow volunteers - I even ended up dating one of these peeps, and we're still going strong!

When I left to volunteer in South America, I did so specifically with Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru (HOOP). At the time of application, I wasn’t well-versed in what to look for in a non-profit, but I got lucky. HOOP is one of those rare organizations that operates ethically with truly capable leadership at the helm. They are also always looking for new volunteers and interns, and many of the current employees began as volunteer teachers!
